One user describes how pleased and delighted he was once he received the splitter, knowing immediately that the extra money he spent for this model and not the smaller one, was for a good cause. He was impressed with how “heavy-duty” it appeared, and how it ultimately split some very large, very dense chunks of wood, including Texas Mesquite and Pecan. He added that he also liked the fact that even though the ends of many of the logs he split were not cut at a 90 degree angle, the logs ride in the work-table and do not slip out. He calls the electronic log splitter “My Little Yellow Beast.” Another user calls the splitter a “great little machine!” He added that although he has only split a couple of cords, mainly Pine, Juniper and Douglas fir, it handled large and small diameter logs beautifully. He did, however, hesitate on loading and splitting a couple of large green logs, he eventually brought them on, rotating them on the splitter, completing their cuts just as beautifully as the aged wood.
